>Sweaters- Circa 1933

>Internet withdrawls, I had them.  Glad to be back online!
Here’s a cheery little page of sweaters (or jumpers, depending on where you are from) that probably dates to around 1933.  Now, who is going to start reproing 1930s sweaters ready made?  Sign me up 😉

Husband and I saw The Kings Speech last night. Have you seen it yet?  It was the best modern movie release I had seen in a long time!

    >My hubby and I loved it. I would like to see it again just to watch the clothing and sets. It was a side of British Royal history that I was not aware of. Hubby went with me not expecting to enjoy it, but the performances were so strong and the story so compelling he was happy he'd seen it in the theater.

  2. >thanks for posting these sweaters, the one lettered G, asymmetrical, is my win.

    >I love the blue mens jumper. I think that would look very nice on my husband 😉

  4. >Order please! B, C, and G are my Favourites… maybe I will have the sports coat, F and D as well, for good measure! Ah, I do like a nice bit of knitwear… Tups xLooking forward to seeing the Kings Speech, booked up to see it in march!

  6. Beth says:

    >So cute! I love seeing them in color. I wonder how they did those swirls on A – embroidery? B and C are my favorites.Loved the King's Speech – thought they did a great job of making the period "real" – everything was so natural, so it was easy to settle in and just think about the characters.

  7. >I absolutely adore that blue knitted blouse!

    >Ooh! These are gorgeous; the 30s is my favorite decade as far as sweaters go. The 40s and 50s cannot top the cuteness factor that 30s knitwear managed. 😉 I really need to learn how to knit sweaters without a pattern one day, so I can start making pieces based on catalog illustrations! (We'll just file that in the "when I have time!" file… haha!)I haven't seen "The Kings Speech" yet, but am dying to, since everyone is talking about it!!! ♥ Casey

    >Very nice, I need a time machine and 30 bucks! Would love to own any of them.
