>More Nautical Inspiration- 1936

Has it really been a full week since I last updated?  My how time flies!
Here’s two pages of 1930s goodness. These are from a 1936 catalog, and sure make my heart flutter! Especially the little navy blue dress with white pleated jacket!
Oh, good! What I always wanted! A date with a cartoon soldier!  But check out those awesome details on the sailor dress shown at the top.
Be still my heart! Nautical dresses with lacing! Yum!

I put a lovely 1930s evening dress pattern from my stash up on Ebay this week.  No repros of this one, so if you’re in love with the dress here’s your chance to get the pattern!
In Wearing History pattern line news I’m just plugging along on some secret designs for my Summer collection to be debuted at the fashion show in May.  Switching over to seasonal releases, so keep your eyes peeled for more news 😉
Have a fabulous weekend!

    >Thank you for sharing those catalog pages! I too seem to look more and more into 30s casual and resort look. Unlike you though I'm any good at sewing, otherwise that ebay pattern of yours would be a serious temptation…

    >I love that the 30s were so obsessed with lacing. Have you ever seen it from any other decade? I don't think I have! Are you telling me I can expect more repro pattern goodness from you? Eeeeee!

    >How fun! I like the top sailor dress best. And I think the cartoon soldier is totally a cadet, a la West Point. Definitely appealing to the Eastern collegiate set!
