>Surfing Cowboys, Circa 1938

>Well, not in actuality. They are, however, surfing on my fabric! A really fun fabric find this summer from the garment district (yes, it’s NEW!) lead to this dress. The pattern is a recent ebay purchase. I have some original pattern leaflets and the numbers place this one about 1938, which is so convenient because that’s the year our English country house getaway is taking place! Here’s the project so far, sans sideseams, closures, and hem. I want to make the sash of red silk and the jacket of an off white linen I have on hand.
